Felix Roasting Co.

Opening Hours: Monday - Sunday 7AM - 10PM (Opening Hours may vary at other locations)
Felix Roasting Co., 525 Greenwich St.
Hickory-Smoked S’mores Latte
Felix Roasting Co. is truly an institution among the top coffee spots in the Big Apple. With four beautiful locations across Manhattan, each one is absolutely gorgeous and totally unique. Felix stands out not just for its stunning interiors but also for its exceptional coffee. If you’re in the mood for something extra special, you have to try their famous Hickory-Smoked S’mores Latte. It’s made with espresso, graham cracker flavor infused milk, dark chocolate, and a hint of cinnamon. The Latte is topped with a toasted salted caramel marshmallow and for the grand finale it’s served under a glass bell jar filled with hickory smoke for that extra wow factor. An experience as unforgettable as it is delicious!
All Felix Roasting Co. locations offer plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere, making them perfect spots to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done. If you’re planning to work on your laptop, we recommend heading to their West SoHo location on Greenwich Street. It’s located in the Hugo Hotel and therefore has longer opening hours than the other locations (every day from 7 AM to 10 PM). Another bonus: You can easily hop on the free lobby Wi-Fi. 😉 The other locations also offer free Wi-Fi but you get a code on your receipt which is only available for one hour after logging in. Something to keep in mind in case you are planning a longer session.
Ariston Coffee Bar

Address: 78 5th Ave, New York, NY 10011
Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 8AM - 7PM, Sunday 9AM - 6PM
Pistachio Latte
Ariston Coffee Bar
Ever had a great coffee surrounded by beautiful flower decorations? That’s exactly what you’ll experience at Ariston Cafe, one of the most uniquely designed coffee shops in Manhattan. Walk a short 5 minutes from Union Square and you will find this truly beautiful hidden gem. It might not look huge from the outside, but with two floors of seating, it feels spacious and welcoming - even during peak hours, you’ll likely find a spot. We ordered a Peppermint Mocha and a Pistachio Latte, and both were absolutely excellent - no complaints, just great coffee. 😊
One thing that makes Ariston stand out among the best coffee shops in New York City is their diverse menu. Along with all the classic coffee drinks, they serve creative seasonal specials like a Marshmallow Matcha Latte. You’ll also find plenty of tasty food options, from baked snacks (like their popular Vegan Pistachio Cake) to hearty sandwiches and healthy salads.
Wi-Fi is available on weekdays, and if you’re already connected, you might be able to use it on weekends too - though we haven’t officially tested that.
With such a beautiful, cozy atmosphere, it feels almost wrong to order your coffee to-go - but don’t worry, you definitely can if you're on the move. 😉
Also stop by the gorgeous flower shop at the entrance area of this place. Those are the most beautiful but also ridiculously expensive flowers we have seen. So maybe just look but don’t touch. 😜
REMI43 Flower & Coffee
Website: Here
Address: 810 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10017
Opening Hours: Weekdays 7AM - 6PM, Weekends 7AM - 6PM
Lavender Latte and Tiramisu Latte
REMI43 Flower & Coffee
Want more Flowers? Well great, cause we have another beautiful spot for you. Remi43 is located in Midtown East just a short 10 min walk from Grand Central. This place has a nice rainforesty vibe and offers a good amount of seating options across 2 floors. As the name implies this also is a flower shop with a coffee shop nestled between the flowers and plants. They offer amazing, delicious coffee, which is not just nice to drink but is also gorgeously prepared. We usually have their Tiramisu Latte and Lavender Latte and they are perfection.
Huge plus: Remi43 offers free Wi-Fi all day everyday, no shenanigans like weekdays or 1-hour only. Work hard weekdays and weekends while enjoying nature and a delicious cup of caffeine. 😉
A little bonus: Right outside from this coffee spot you have a beautiful view of the Chrysler Building, which somehow you don't get as often. So why not sprinkle in a little photoshoot, we certainly did.
Maman

Address: Check the website for various locations.
Opening Hours: Check online for opening hours, because they vary.
Maman, 12 W 48th St
We love Maman, the coffee is great, the pastries are fantastic and it has 20 locations in Manhattan alone plus 3 more in Brooklyn. What? I know, amazing right?! Let's talk about the interior, we have been to about 6 of the locations by now and they are all beautiful, welcoming and so homey - we could sit there all day. Maman blends parisian countryside elegance with urban flair, with vintage furniture, floral wallpaper and tiled counters. Their signature blue-and-white porcelain is so romantic and gorgeous you can just feel that a lot of love went into all the details.
Maman offers a wide range of classic coffee options to seasonal specialities. We love the amount of dairy-free milk options from oat to almond to pistachio, they got you covered. They also offer a pretty big food menu, with breakfast classics, sandwiches, salads and pastry that is to die for. If we would have to deduct points it would be because they charge a dollar extra for the milk alternatives. 🙁
Maman does not offer Wi-Fi in fact they are laptop free, but if you come on weekdays in the afternoon they usually don't mind you working on your laptop. Here is a quote from their website which we find quite cute: maman is a laptop free environment. We don't offer Wi-Fi, but we do offer freshly baked cookies and a relaxing atmosphere! Reading, chatting, & daydreaming is encouraged… make a new friend or call your maman!
So maybe take this as your sign to come to Maman to actually relax, daydream and give your mom a call - she will appreciate it. 😉
% Arabica
Website: Here
Address: 37 W 54th St, New York, NY 10019
Opening Hours: Midtown Open Daily 7AM - 7PM
Other locations: NoLIta Open Daily 7:30AM - 7:30PM, 30 Rock & DUMBO Open Daily 8AM - 6PM
% Arabica, 37 W 54th St
When it comes to the coffee at % Arabica, there’s no hesitation - it’s a 10/10! Without a doubt, it’s some of the best coffee we’ve had in NYC. Our absolute favorite is the Dark Latte, which blends French cocoa with rich espresso for a deep, chocolaty flavor that is not too sweet. If you love dark chocolate and coffee, this drink is the one you need to try.
If there’s one small downside, it’s the seating. While the space is super modern and stylish, it’s not really designed for lingering - making % Arabica more of a perfect grab-and-go spot during your sightseeing adventures. They do offer Wi-Fi though, so if you need to stop and post the amazing pics that you took on Insta you should definitely consider % Arabica.
% Arabica has 3 locations in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn, which we have to say is our favorite one. If the weather is nice, we definitely recommend visiting this one in DUMBO. It’s right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, and after grabbing your favorite coffee, it’s only a five-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade. There, you’ll find plenty of benches and one of the most stunning views of the downtown Manhattan skyline (We added a little map here so you will know exactly where to go to). Honestly, there’s no better place to enjoy a coffee from, the views are priceless and exactly what you are looking for when coming to NYC.
Butler Bakeshop & Espresso Bar
Website: Here
Address: 177 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10013
Opening Hours: Weekdays 7AM - 5.30PM, Weekends 8AM - 5.30PM (Check online for other locations, because they vary)
Butler Bakeshop & Espresso Bar, 177 Lafayette St
Cappuccino, Flat White, Lemon Chai Power Ball
Located on Lafayette Street in southern SoHo, Butler Bakeshop & Espresso Bar easily ranks among the best cafés in NYC. Not only do they serve outstanding coffee, but they also have a full breakfast and lunch menu that keeps us coming back. We have tried variations of their coffee with different milk alternatives and the coffee is really delicious. We love that they offer a range of dairy-free milk. On the food side of things we have had the Chilled Overnight Oats (Turmeric, Miso, Apple, Fresh Blueberries, Pecans, Coconut Milk, Maple), which are honestly amazing and the Lemon Chai Power Ball - a nice little pick me up and healthy option. In addition to the SoHo location Butler also has 3 more in Brooklyn - in Williamsburg and DUMBO - so if you find yourself there, you should definitely give it a try.
This is also a great spot for remote work. They offer free Wi-Fi during weekdays, making it an ideal place to bring your laptop - just note that laptops aren’t allowed on weekends. The interior is simple yet tasteful, and the large communal table in the center usually means you’ll find a seat even during busy hours.
The Soirée
Website: Here
Address: 796 9th Ave, New York, NY 10019
Opening Hours: Monday - Thursday 8AM – 10PM, Friday 8AM – 12AM, Saturday 9AM – 12AM, Sunday 9AM – 10PM
The Soirée, 796 9th Ave
The Soirée is a small and charming cafe inspired by Kyoto and the South of France. It is located at 9th avenue and 53rd street and very easy to overlook from the outside. Seating is limited, but most of the time especially on weekdays you’ll still be able to snag a spot. And most importantly: the coffee is amazing! They only use organic ingredients, offer dairy-free alternatives and sugar is only added if you request it - a big plus in our book.
Beyond their big variety of coffee specialities, The Soirée offers a wide range of teas, Matcha and even cocktails, making it a perfect place for everyone no matter what beverage you're craving for. Now for our favorite part, you can add a booze of your choice to your coffee and get 50% off the booze! We love a nice tasty shot of Baileys in our cappuccino! 😉
They also offer free Wi-Fi - so why not move the homeoffice over to this place every now and then, because work just gets a little easier with a delicious boozy cup of coffee.
Good to know: The Soiree is a cafe half of the time - on weekdays after 5pm and weekends after 6pm it transforms from a cozy café into a lively bar. So you can start your day with a great coffee and end it with a delicious cocktail — all without changing locations. Definitely a hidden gem among the coffee shops in NYC!
